I agree. Most of these companies openly misuse L1 visas. I have seen myself, how L1 guys from Infosys, TCS, and IBM India working at client sites.

I work as a consultant for one of the big 5 firms implementing SAP applications. What is the job code referenced for this job? I want to know the job category it falls under as per the Dictionary of Occupation Title or the O*Net published by DOL. My company did not provide me this information but any help will be greatly appreciated.

You have no other way to get this information other than your employer or attorney who filed your case. If your case was filed under PERM process then I remember, few months back I saw an access database floating around in a forum which had the information on companies who filed LC for which position during end of 2005-2006 period. Rightly it did not have any information on candidates. I cannot remember where did I find it.
We can all speculate what it would be but not sure. We also do not know why do you need this info and what is your current status with regard to GC...

So what made you switch?
Well... A friend of mine has a photography business and uses Nikon kit. For a long time I have been impressed by her out of the camera images (color and skin tones), particularly flash shots. She was achieving good looking images with far less processing than me. Her nikon zooms were great wide open too - mine were just OK (on a 20d) I was hoping that Canon would take a hint, & come up with a feature set to compete with the d300. They didnt do it, so I jumped ship!

My I-140 has my employers head office address in Part 1( as petitioner/employer). My future job location in I-140 petition is different from the one I am currently working at( on H1B). My H1b and I-140 were filed for different locations.
Does anybody have an idea which address of employer should I write in the employer address section- Head office address or my current job location.

My I-485 was filed on Dec 1, 2006. I called USCIS and had info pass and they told me that my name check is not clear. I talked to one lawyer and he is going to charge me 3500 for WOM. He has pretty good success rate. I am reading forum where they say it is better to wait minimum 2 years. Has anyone heared any case where wom is filed after one year and it was successful. My priority date is current.

I am glad it worked out for you.
Just wanted to update everyone - I did respond to the I-140 RFE with detailed information for the delay in getting the degree - and my 140 was approved without any further questions. I hope that no one else gets into this situation - but if anyone needs help - I will be more than willing to help in what ever way I can.
Now......on to the GC :-)

congratulation.. I am in same situation. My previous employer withdrawn approved 140, I moved to new employer after 1 year of 485 pending. I didn't filed AC21 papers and currently working on EAD not in H1 staus.

I am not getting any appointment in June with any doctor within 60 miles from my place. So I took an appointment with a doc 70+ miles away for end of june. The only problem is I need to go twice 70 miles one way. The clinic suggested I do the blood work in nearby county clinic, but the county clinic wants 7-10 days to get results of blood work. I asked them for HIV and Sephallius test to be done. I already got TB Skin test(tested negative) done at county clinic.
Can someone please tell what all blood tests need to be done, so I can check if any other doctor can do the blood work and I can save one 70 mile trip . Thanks.

Make sure your wife gets new H4 with valid i94. Entering with old H1 stamping does not hurt as long as it is not expired. But you should be careful not to continue with it without thinking about H4.
You might have valid H1 with new company with valid i94. You are safe until next extension, but your wife will go out of status once her I94 expires. Better to talk with your company attorney and get the H4 transfer process going.

]i am thinking that this is a liar's post.[/B].. i am very surprised that USCIS went to extent of finding H4 inconsistencies and denying a dependent GC... that would take the cake... it makes it sound like USCIS is out to catch people with the smallest slightest mistakes... i do not think that is the case...
