Why should USCIS send two notices? To answer your question..NO..they will send you one date and location for FP! Also you have to do your FP every 15 months or so..if your case isnt approved by then!

You can claim UI... I used the benefit earlier and the UI office was very helpful. It is insurance and a public burden. It would not be held against you in AOS adjustment. But again, I am not a lawyer so my opinion is strictly mine and should not be considered as legal opinion.....

I 140 if filed in premium- USCIS sends an recipt email with recipt number to your lawyer,if he shares that email with you u can check the status online on USCIS website .
It takes anywhere from 5 days to 15 days to get any response.
If your case is straight forward u get approval within 5 to 8 days depending upon the workload and the service center. Also depends upon how your case is positioned, category and documents provided with the petition application.
I 485 i have no idea but if ur PD is current should not take long,my friend got his card in 20 to 25 days max but he had not filed concurrently as he had observed concurrent filing leads to a delay in 485 process.

See according to the consulate, they say the following
passport or travel document valid for at least three months after visa expiry date
In this case, they mean the schengen visa expiration date. For example, if I am travelling from April 1 to April 20th, they will give me visa only upto April 20th. They want my AP to have expiration atleast 3 months from April 20th (which will be July 20th) but my AP is expiring on April 10th.

My received date is Aug 15, 2007.
I looked at the new I485 instructions and the fee now is $985.00.
So i think I payed under the old structure. I am going to include the fee for both of them.

i thought i would share that my 140+485 which was concurrently filed on 2nd jul got approved today. seems like the ead renewal trigerred it as i see a LUD on that as well.
looks like 2003 pd are starting to get picked up at TSC.
how long does it take to get the actual card? i have to travel outside the country next month, what do i need to get back?

Sorry, if this question is asked before. I could not find the answer even after a thorough search.
My EB3 � India, I-485 application is pending and I am planning to explore options of porting to EB2.
I am currently working with another employer (B) different from the GC sponsoring company (A) using AC-21 rule.
My current employer (B) is planning to apply for labor in EB2 category.
The job requirements satisfy EB2 eligibility and I have the skills/qualifications for the EB2 category before I joined the current employer (B) (in fact even before joining the employer A).
Two questions:
1). Do you see any problem with the above scenario?
2). If you are not a lawyer, can you please suggest a good immigration lawyer that is very good at dealing with porting.

It used to be required only for Mumbai Consulate. But I think Hyderabad has also started. Please check

Hi,
My employer terminated my employment Last date of employment is May-7th. and he is keen on revoking my H1 by May-10th.
He says, Even after withdrawing H1 you can still able to transfer H1 to other employer.
So far i am not able to find other employer who can transfer my H1, and still in US.
1) How many days I can stay after H1 termination
2) Is it possible to transfer H1 after the withdrawal process initiation.
3) How much time does INS take to withdraw the H1
4) what possibility of rejecting my H1 if I submit my papers for H1 transfer after the revoke process initiation.
Please let me know do I have any other options.

Once a person starts working on EAD, his H1 status becomes void. I have read in forum that people still switch from EAD to H1, but I am not entirely sure on that one.
But here is what your friend need to do:
All who are planning to use AC21 or already switched job using AC21 (using EAD). Following is very important:
If you think you are immune, think twice, especially if you are making an investment (American Dream) by buying house, please read the following, help keep your dream intact....

For your convenience the letters have been completely written including addresses to be sent � all you have to do is download following 4 google documents � add the date, your name and address � and send it to the address provided on each letter.
