So because you don't like Financial Times it's okay for everyone that they are holding out iPad subscriptions. This is exactly what's wrong with you Apple fanboys.
You should be penalizing Apple for allowing this to happen. but instead you jump for joy.
Okay let's look at this clearly shall we? The Financial Times (and they're far from the only one) are complaining NOT because of the subscription fee split but because they loose "the direct relationship with subscribers". To put that into simple English they currently sell their customers information to marketing firms or use the demographic data to sell ads in the FT or related materials.
Now Apple aren't actually stopping that, they're just insisting that customers opt-in to the scheme rather than opt-out (or have no choice at all).
No matter how you look at it Apple is on the side of the consumer here. They're not denying that information to the FT, just trying to make sure consumers can choose whether or not they want that information shared with a third party and, more importantly, that the default is NO. That's a great, positive step forward, frankly ALL such marketing and data selling should be opt-in and very clearly marked and I wish Apple all the best.

How do you make your dock just a black strip like you did?
Running geektool. Most of the desktops you see are running it to display computer information, weather, music, etc.
I'm also using a black dock with the icons.

My sources are actually talking about an advanced, radical design which also incorporates a radical new feature set.
It's called the iOmni, and it's really cool.
It comes in solid brass with a mirror polish finish.
Here's some descriptive photos that were smuggled out of a highly-classified location which, apparently for reasons of national security, are not at the 1 Infinite Loop campus location.
http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/3461/iomni01ei5.png
In this first image, you can see the iOmni in it's closed mode. Unfortunately due to the angles of the images, you cannot really see it, but there is a pair of standard 1/8th inch headphone jacks at the top of the device, one on either "bump". It would seem that some people have been taking the "stick it in her ear" comment a little bit too literally, and due to complaints, Apple has now built in a second headphone jack to allow both parties to listen to the music in full, clear stereo.
Moving on...

As you can see in this first image, Apple's famous electro-static click wheel remains a central part of the design. I'll come to the set of rings it's set into in just a moment, but one of the things I'd like to draw your attention to are the two colored lights, one red and one green, at the top of the device. Nobody my contact has spoken with seems to know exactly what they're for, but there has been some speculation about them being part of the power meter system.
However, it's the concentric rings which are of very great interest, since they seem to contain a sequence of date codes, from days to weeks, and then down through centuries. According to several unconfirmed reports, it seems the device rumored to be able to let you listen to any song, at any point in time in Earth's history. Now, if true, of course this would suggest a considerable scientific breakthrough in temporal physics and acoustic detection. Whether it transports the user, the performer, or just the music itself is as yet unknown.
There have been rumors around the Apple campus that Steve has gone missing once or twice when visiting the off-campus facility, but these have been largely discounted by most of the people my source has spoken with.
My source said there was no LCD mounted to the unit pictured above, but there did seem to be some extraneous connectors in between the two lights, though what their purpose is remains unknown.
Isn't this exciting news, folks? You've heard it here first.

I miss 4.2.1, it was really stable for me :(
I'm on 4.2.1, but because I have an iPhone 3, I guess I'm at the end of getting updates from Apple. Is this true, just wondering.
Thanks.

Overpriced. These games are ancient and most of them don't offer much gameplay at all. Plus it cost atari essentially nothing to put this app out. If they made it $0.99 for the hundred pack then it'd be no-brainer, we'd buy it just for the nostalgia alone. I could conceivably see paying up to $4.99 for the hundred pack for the very small handful of games that are actually worth playing. But $14.99 for these junky games? No way.
p.s., I'm not saying all old games are bad, quite the contrary, there are a lot of fantastic old games that still hold up well, but the atari era of games were especially crappy.
So buy the packs you want for 99 cents each. I bought 3 or 4 packs total, and that's all the games that I really played/remember, so I'm quite happy with that. I'm not planning on spending the full $15.

is this snow leopard? I tried once when snow leopard was fresh out and I messed up my mac. Can I do this now on my 10.6.4? sorry for the off-topic :) don't flame me :D
Yes this is Snow Leopard. I use GeekTools, CandyBar, Bowtie, and the Caeser theme.
The icons are Flurry by David Lanham, I made a few of the icons myself though.
The dock is my own as well.

Taken from my trip to the Dallas Auto show last weekend; Nissan GTR aka Nissan Skyline. I've dreamed of having this car stateside for most of my youth. Now that it's finally here, Nissan guaranteed I will NEVER own one with the $80k price tag. :(
Even if you were able to manage to get one, you would be paying way too much for maintenance and wear and tear replacement parts.
This car is a masterpiece in terms of performance/(initial) price. But, the collateral damage is an excessive expense for parts and maintenance when you wring out as much performance as possible from a street legal sports car with the entry price still attainable for a regular guy.

I think we're all failing to point out on how TJ Maxx (or TK Maxx in the UK) operate.
They buy second rate products, such as clothing that has been badly stitched or home furnishing that is mis-coloured, that all fail QA in the factory. They will also buy from companies that have gone bankrupt or from auction.
I'm guessing they bought from a company that has gone bust or at auction.

If it is anything like my Subaru Baja... then I already know LOL
I have a Subaru myself, and while their interiors are pretty average at best, they are mechanically very reliable in my experience. Not as boring as a Camry either, though (apart from the turbo models) they aren't "performance" cars either, but more like SUV substitutes.
In the end it was just how fun the Cabrio was fun to drive that made me jump to the New Beetle. Reliability was the reason I dumped my New Beetle... made in Mexico. While the ex's Cabrio was made in Germany with no major problems. Go figure....
There is plenty of anecdotal evidence I've come accross indicating that the German-made VWs hold up quite a bit better than the Mexican-sourced models. I don't have any "official" info on whether that is true though.
I suppose reliability is one thing that might improve in the new models.

For feature films and television these days, Final Cut is ABSOLUTELY the industry standard. Oh and in the 8 years I've lived in Hollywood, I never met one person in the industry who uses a Windows PC (maybe a writer or two).
I never killed anyone (maybe a fanboy or two) lol

There goes CorvusCamenarum, messing up a perfectly good party with so-called "research."
Don't you understand? We only look into original sources if the OP is anti-Democrat.
Jeez.
Yes, those posts that criticized CorvusCamenarum for doing that were awful weren't they?

.mac is in need of a major upgrade
This is a good start
very true. still, if gmail cleaned up the interface, added WebDAV support, made a nice homepage to access all google services, i'd totally stop thinking about the possibility of .mac.
