Hi,
I am going to get married next week.
I am a H-1b visa holder and I have applied for green card. I am waiting to get approval of I-140.
I want to file the H-4 visa for my wife and I have couple questions :
1) How difficult is to apply for H-4 ? Do I need a lawyer for that ?
2) How will my new status effect my green card application ? Do I need to apply again for I-140 ?

I'll have a go at cloning out the twigs later, it looks a bit difficult but it could be fun trying.Cloning sometimes leaves weird patterns. I've had luck putting a loose selection around the cloned area with a big feathered edge, then applying a gaussian blur. It helps "clean up" my new background. The trick is to have a seemless blend between the cloned and the original untouched areas.

I know this is irrelevant in a way but see it from a different angle for one moment. There is no other forum where you can get any information about these H1 employers who are playing games using retrogression. This is the only forum where most of the people on H1 are related to some desi consulting company and can share their experiences which would help other people who are in huge pain due to the unfair practices of their existing employers.
I would recommend the administrators to create a separate area on this forum where people can share these experiences and find genuine employers.

Can anyone tell when will EB3 India crossover to May 2001 from April 2001 without any new law.
let me try to guess this..mmm..tough question though, assuming they take 1 month to move one day..earliest would be in another 30 months..just kidding.. though i wont be surprised, even if it happens that way..no one know what is their freakin calculation to move these dates.

What is the best possible solution to get around different place birth on Passport and BC. Any has affidavit format for such issue please share it.
According to chat transcript from a lawyer's site some one had the same question. The answer is "USCIS does not care much about secondary document like passport and what's in the primary document like Birth certificate is important and matters". In other words they may not be comparing the passport and birth certificate for place of birth. Just my 2cents as I'm not a lawyer.

In DS-156 form there is an item 36 which says "Has anyone ever filed an immigration visa petition on your behalf",
What should be entered for H4 visa holder whose 485 has been filed.
And if we have to say "Yes" to this question , then whose name should be mentioned in "If Yes ,Who?", should it be the spouse name or the spouse company name ?

I am also in the same boat, 140 was filed in March 07, file at TSC. The attorney never received the original LCA. Could not do premium processing for 140.

Our 4-H photo club met this (well, yesterday now - it was Monday) evening, and the leader brought her new D70. She knows that I'm interested in DSLRs, so she let me shoot it for about 15 minutes with my CF card. I brought home six NEFs (from about 10 or 11 shots, but I deleted a few in the process of "exposing to the right").
The ergonomics were great from my perspective (of having never touched an autofocus SLR before in my life). After a few minutes I had the basic settings in the menus and the exposure compensation figured out, though I didn't even bother with the built in flash (I put on my Vivitar 285HV for a few shots instead).
After seeing the results of 1600 ISO (the first few were shot on this as I hadn't figured out how to change the setting yet), I don't know why you guys complain about noise so much. This thing at 1600 indoors at night beats my P&S at whatever ISO it uses in overcast daylight! Well, maybe that exaggerates a bit, but certainly not much.
Anyway, I should stick on a photo for everyone to view... This was shot in NEF, converted with the Adobe converter with Photoshop CS, and then received a light Curve to enhance contrast, a warming filter because I wasn't quite happy with the white balanced I converted the file with, and no noise reduction. Oh yeah, I applied a bit of sharpening; if anything, I try to stay on the conservative side there, since I'm not that familiar with telling how much is too much.

My employer is not ready to give a copy of I-140. I was wondering if any of you used "The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)" to get it.
So far I found that there are 3 things to be done for FOIA :
1. A request letter mentioning what exactly you are asking for.
2. Notarized copy of Form DOJ-361 (Certification of Identity)
3. Fee
Wanted to know, if any of you actually did this and get a copy of I-140 back. What is the fee ? How did you pay it ? Was there any other document that you sent ? Am I missing anything ? Who did you send the request to ?

You are just guessing that he was the reason that our SKIL bill or even a minor reform was not included in latest enformance only bills. I have personally read different point of views here. Mathew Oh's website said House wanted to include some measure but were not allowed to include piecemeal immigration legislations.
I guess only core members will only know who supports us and who does not.
